Network Marketing: The Hispanic Market

Márketing de Red: El Mercado hispano

Looking for more traffic to your website?

Looking for more product users?

Looking for leaders to join your business?

If you’re not networking with the Hispanic market, you’re missing the fastest growing consumer group in the country. (Si usted no es conectado a una red con el mercado hispano, usted echa de menos el grupo de consumidor de crecimiento más rápido en el país.)

Facts:

1. The Hispanic market is growing at three times the national rate over the last decade.

2. Today Hispanics comprise 14.4% of the total U.S population.

3. The Hispanic market is expected to reach $1.1 trillion by 2010.

4. The United States currently has the fifth largest Hispanic population in the world. That’s up 140% over the past 20 years (the term U.S. Hispanic is a name referring to people living in the U.S. from any Spanish speaking country. Therefore U.S. Hispanics come from 22 different countries).

Many times the big breaks are simply a matter of good timing. If you look closely enough, the answer is often right in front of you. These facts all add up to one thing: OPPORTUNITY.

Companies are beginning to target the growing Hispanic population. The Direct Selling Association placed a 20 page insert in the Latina magazine on the opportunity for success with direct selling.

Hispanics come to the U.S. with the “American Dream” in mind, but because they do not speak English very well they end up working low paying jobs. They have a long history of informal selling – in many Latin American countries where unemployment is high, selling wares on the street or from the home is very common. Hispanics tend to be more entrepreneurial and open to business opportunities. They like science-based products / services and are often interested in learning about health and nutrition. (Les gustan productos científicos / servicios y a menudo están interesados en el estudio sobre la salud y la nutrición.)

U.S. Hispanics Online

According to Claria’s Feedback Research, seventy-nine percent of Spanish-speaking U.S. Hispanics have used the internet for five years or less, but are highly active online. Fifty-four percent have made online purchases and forty-five percent expect to increase online purchases. Sixty-nine percent are more likely to buy from a Spanish language site.

Still Not Marketing to the Hispanic Market?

Talk to the Hispanic market in their own language. I don’t speak Spanish, but I’m not letting that stop me. As you may have noticed, a few of the sentences in this article are in Spanish. While they may not be 100% accurate – online translation services can convert your presentation / advertising to Spanish. Many offer free translation service. Below is an example I wrote using one of these services.

Glycobiology is rapidly becoming the most promising area of scientific research. Only one company is positioned to bring this new discovery to the world. Best of all they have made this technology available in a home business opportunity that you can work when you want, from anywhere in the world.

It’s really not that much extra work to approach the Hispanic market. If I was a small or home-based business owner selling products or services, it would be a market where I would want to be active.

I am very interested in learning more about the Hispanic market. The MLM work ethic in so many other countries exceeds our here in the USA. Thank you so much for this article. I'm intrigued!

I'm always open to working with any one. Some times people from other cultures are much harder workers then Americans who I think can have a tendency to be lazy. I'm American and if there is a short cut, I will at least consider it. Anyway, great article and good luck in your chosen field.
